New Patient Registration

Anyone in England can register with a GP surgery.  You do not need proof of address, or immigration status, ID or an NHS number. On requesting to register with the practice you will be given an information pack containing various forms to complete and return to the practice.

Those patients with more complex problems and prescribing requirements will be invited to see one of the practice nurses for an introductory appointment.  It often takes some months for your medical records to reach us, so this is a useful opportunity to discuss past and current medical problems and carry out a brief health check.  We provide medical services to residents of Royal Wootton Bassett and the outlying villages.  Our reception staff will be happy to advise if you are in our practice area.

Guide to GP Services

The Royal College of General Practitioners has produced a useful guide for patients about the services on offer at GP Surgeries and how to access them.  You can download the guide below.

Moving out of the area?

New Court Surgery do not have the capacity to register patients who are not in our catchment area. Therefore please be aware that if you move outside this area you will be asked to register with another practice. Patients who feel they have an exceptional reason to remain registered should put this in writing to the Practice Manager for consideration.

If you need help in finding a local GP practice you can access the NHS Choices website (www.nhs.uk) or telephone NHS 111 who can provide details of local NHS services.
